I am...

  • A dad... first and foremost I am a dad.
  • A husband, and lord knows I should be much better at it than I am.
  • A drummer, I have played drums longer than I have done anything else in life. Thanks Dad, I miss you terribly.
  • Tall, taller than most people you see in a day.
  • Smart, smarter than an average bear I guess.
  • Kind, I try to be kind, I really really do.
  • I'm a programmer by trade, and by hobby, therefore... I program things.
  • A budding photographer... sometimes.
 
 

Work Time

I am lucky enough to make my living with one of my hobbies. I am currently a programmer for a leading design agency in the life sciences industry. I develop websites and web applications for medical and pharmaceutical companies. I get to use some pretty cool web technologies in my work. I am *ahem* intimately familiar with Zend and Agavi PHP frameworks, jQuery JavaScript framework and CSS... oh CSS as the day is long. Responsive UI/UX design concepts and HTML5 are quickly becoming my new loves as well. These technologies will soon forever change how we interact with the web. Free Time

I try to spend a lot of time with my family. I can sometimes get sucked into some programming at home but if I can, and the inspiration is there, I try to take some decent photos for the blog. Photography has always been there. My whole life, but only recently as serious endevour. The science and art behind it... Sometimes I think I just like to hear the click of the shutter.

While trying to "bud" as a photographer.. I use:

  • Nikon D7000
  • Nikon D40
  • Nikon 50mm f1.8 *yummy
  • Nikkor 18-105mm
  • A ton of random accessories I am convinced I will need one day :)
